The Magpie (Pica pica) is unjustly regarded as a bad omen in many western cultures. This large singing bird is an extremely intelligent animal capable of using tools and solving problems.

Sometimes insolent and mischievous, they can be seen teasing predators like cats and eagles, but also showing fearlessness in defending their offspring.
